The transformation process, which includes hairstyling, makeup application, and wearing the attire, typically takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes. The intricate and fascinating experience of being dressed in a kimono by a professional will undoubtedly create a cherished memory. Relax and enjoy the gradual transformation into a beautiful bride or groom.
You can experience our traditional Japanese hair and makeup, as well as the art of kimono dressing from ancient time.
Ladies can select from three distinct hairstyle options. You have the choice of the
traditional Japanese hairstyle crafted with your natural hair, a Western-inspired style, or
the option of wearing a wig.
*Kindly be aware that the wig style may not be suitable
for individuals with metal allergies.
Traditional Japanese ceremonies and culture that you can partake in at the shrine.
At the shrine, a multitude of rituals awaits your participation, including the art of drawing omikuji (fortune-telling paper), inscribing wishes on ema (wooden plaques), and immortalizing these precious moments through photography. Moreover, you have the opportunity to engage in captivating photoshoots featuring quintessentially Japanese accessories, such as traditional umbrellas and delicate origami cranes.
Our dedicated interpreter will be with you throughout the entire day, from the preparation phase to the actual photo shoot.
For those who may have concerns about communicating in Japanese, rest assured that you will be accompanied by a staff member who can interpret in English on the day of the photo shoot. They will be there to assist you with any questions or requests you may have, whether it’s about dressing in kimono, expressing your preferences during the shoot, or any inquiries related to Japanese traditions. Sumiyoshi Taisha is approximately a 50-minute train ride from Kansai Airport and around 30 minutes from JR Osaka Station. You are welcome to visit for sightseeing or meetings, and you can also combine your trip to Sumiyoshi Taisha with your other plans.
